-Most Current Assessment- (to be filled in by officer assessing the student)
Military and Tactical: child is swift, agile and fluid in motion; she has wonderful defensive instincts and reflexes. Has no previous military experience, and may not be well suited to the subordinace required. Yet she has natural initiative, rarely needs the assistance of higher officers. She holds her own.
Academic: a cunning, calculative mind, executing brilliant grades and many creative ideas. Does not seem to accept some concepts very well due to stubborness, but where she lacks academically she makes up for with wisdom and her own sense of intellect.
Disciplinary History: tends to be defensive of territiorial rights, violent at times. Sullen wariness of authoritarians accounts for certain insubordinate attitudes. Simply put, she does not abide by man's law.
Family Notes: no family, a loner half by choice, half by abandonment. Was discovered in the wild Amazon area a few miles from a small Brazillian village; used to spend much time in the rainforest canopy, imitating the lifestyle of a feline...
Medical History: slightly obsessive animalic behavior, minor manic-depressive disorder. One can be led to question her stability; child suffered moderate separation anxiety upon leaving rainforest, and losing sight of the moon upon arriving at Battle School. And of this Earth-moon, the girl's chemicals still sway at an abnormal scale in time with its waxing and waning. Her body never adapted away. Another important factor; recent medical exams have shown that the girl has recently given birth to a child. The father is unknown as well as the baby's whereabouts; but all this is being looked into. Selena had escaped for a year's time back into the Amazon after returning to Earth, then had reappeared conveniently at the time appointed for her to continue on to Command School; much about this period is blank in our records.
Physical Description: the girl, whose ethnic origin cannot fully be determined by appearance(though she speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese) is small and lithe, fair-skinned with vividly piqued, sensitive features framed by silky black waves. She has an air of wary grace about her, a certain sense of vaguely wild mystique. Her eyes, intent with an exotic Oriental tilt, are a strange pale brown, uncannily hypnotic- light enough to be called gold. The only softness about her lies in the generous Africaan set of her lips, the only childishness showing in the rarity of a genuine smile.
Personality Assessment: she is a feline in soul and a child of the moon, sometimes lapsing into feral episodes and following felinic instincts. Selective with choosing comrades, and sometimes hostile with other peers. She is not a social figure, does not trust easily... her demeanor seems aloofly arrogant, sometimes cruelly playful; her temperament is casually volatile. May be good to work with in the sense of a subordinate or tactical officer, but child is too stubborn, too savvatiously indifferent to be of much use unless her skills are molded well. As for her strange mindset relating to felines and the phases of the moon... her moods change from darkly sullen to a type of slink flirtatiousness too mature for a child of her age. It is a phenomenon that has interfered with her training as well as aided it.
Comments:
"A jungle child, Sister? We're fighting Formics here, not lions and tigers and bears. If ever she slashes me or anyone else again, she's icing out on the next shuttle."
