Military and Tactical: Gabriel has a highly keen and analytical mind, capable of processing extremely complex data with remarkable accuracy. However, his tactical abilities are beginning to prove limited. Though he was certainly proving promising for a while in the beginning, it seems as though he has already peaked in this ability. He is all analysis, but no innovation, and that makes him predictable.

Academic: This boy makes our courses of study look like playtime. He's getting only slightly above-average marks, however, apparently because he's purposefully making mistakes. Like the kid doesn't even want us to notice him.

Disciplinary History: Nothing notable. A few reprimands for being late without an excuse.

Family Notes: Parents divorced soon after birth of younger sister; boy has kept mother's surname. Mother and sister died years ago in a chopper crash, of which Gabriel was the only survivor. Medical History: Suffered serious injuries in a fight with two former launchmates, Denali Katera Quistin and Jaxen Narita. Has fully recovered.

Physical Description: A somewhat tall boy, thin, but beginning to fill out since his enrollment in the defensive combat class. Copper-brown hair cut mid-length. He moves well for his age; no bumbling or awkwardness about him. Very stoic face -- this boy doesn't wear his emotions, that's for certain.

Personality Assessment: Still confusing the hell out of us, after all these years. If our psych evals from the mind game and the holocam logs would give us the results we expected, there would be no question -- we'd name the boy's condition as survivor guilt, and call that the reason for his introversion. Except the computers tell us it's not that. It's his attachment to Rebecca Solenis that is throwing off our analysis -- it doesn't fit. Twice now his analysts have suggested that he be iced on the grounds of unpredictability -- for if we can't understand him, we can't know how far we can push him, or for that matter, what he might do with the training we give him once he graduates. Given his family history -- specifically concerning his father -- there has been significant concern. However, both reccomendations have been overturned by superior order. So we wait, and we watch.

Comments: It's time for this boy to start applying himself. He's been allowed significant leeway over his years at Battle School, partially due to his impressive mental skills, but mostly due to the suspicious favor that has been shown to him whenever his behavior comes under scrutiny. The most recent incident -- namely, the little trip he and Solenis took away from their families during their Earthside leave -- should have been an automatic expulsion. If any more suspicious allowances are made, the IA may need to be informed. Our brass cannot afford to play favorites.

Student took an interest in physical combat shortly after her arrival and has progressed well. Her small unit command strategies have improved dramatically over the last few years.

Academic: Excels in all literary and historical achievements, and second and third dimensional geography. She appears to be attempting to hold her academics back to match scores with Hunter Gabriel, though she tends to over or undershoot the mark. If it becomes apparent that he can't be salvaged, separating these two might be worthwhile.

Physical Description: Caucasian/Hispanic mix, 5'7, 126lbs. She has scars on the insides of her fingers from an unknown injury. Her hair falls nearly to her waist. Hand/eye coordination above average. An avid gymnast before arrival at battleschool. Her sense of balance is highly developed.

Personality Assessment: Acknowledges authority as convenient to avoid notice, but shows a distinct lack of concern for it when she believes she is unobserved. Maintains comfortable anonymity within any social group, seeking neither attention or conspicuous solitude, and spends nearly all of her free time with Hunter Gabriel. She had difficulty taking blind instruction when she first arrived, but she has improved considerably. She appears to have adopted some reserve from Hunter Gabriel, her only companion. She doesn't appear to have the same trouble communicating with her peer group as he does, but she has formed no other lasting attachments.
