| Okay, so this can be the folder where ideas for the alternate history thing are posted. I haven't finished with my summary of the divergent history (it's on Becca's computer), but I just had to post this now, because it blew my mind: In the alternate reality, Gabe's name would still be Hunter Reiner. So no more complaining about how your characters wouldn't be the same, Amy!  |

| Fine. I won't complain, because Hunter Reiner sounds extremely gooberish. Although, the rhyming possibilities aren't too bad...
Nevermind, I am complaining. IT WOULD BE WEIRD! Riya would be friendly, and Kat wouldn't be so vicious, and Jax would still be alive, and Dante would be a normal human being, and Jor might have grown up without beating people nearly to death, and my whole universe would implode on itself and Roxy might even be a chaste person. Can you honestly say I don't have the right to complain about all this craziness?

| The idea is to write characters that are nothing (or as little as possible) like the originals. It will help when we write the second draft and want to start fresh, like overwriting a file after you delete it. Of course, the CIA requires a minimum of seven rewrites to render a file unrecoverable, but we don't want to totally forget, and we're too lazy for that anyways. BUT that's the idea. The new, different characters will distance us from those of the first draft, so that we don't just rewrite the exact same thing. We really don't have to, it just seemed like it would be fun. If the characters aren't going to be different, there isn't much point to the scenario. |

| I think it will be fun, but even my imagination has limits, is all. Even Kat and Jax have previous incarnations of themselves floating out there somewhere, but I hadn't gotten attached to their personalities before using them at VBS. Now that they're so real, I think it's going to be a lot (lotlotlotlotlotlotlot) harder to write them differently. Same goes for Riya and Jor, etc. Maybe it'll be a challenge, or maybe it'll drive me completely insane; I guess we'll just have to see, neh? |

| Well, out of all my characters, I'd say the only ones who had previous established identities would be Solenis and Wick. Nathan and Sasha have been sort of tripping around in my head for a while (pre-IFC), but together with Wick they were just tiny transparent sketches concocted for story-playing with Jabari, and none of them got that much screentime except for Sasha, I suppose, but he was much, much different and looked sort of like Nathan, I guess. |

| I'd really like to write some completely plot-altering alternate realities. Like, for example, what might have happened if Jax didn't die. Or if Kat and Nathan met earlier. Or if Riya and Gabe had become allies. It'd all be like an entirely different story (okay, not like, it would be an entirely different story), and just think of the possibilities. Swede and Wick might have gotten along, even. HAHAHA! |
