In case you were wondering what Fallen Earth is, you can see Adam's obsession here. We were thinking of writing some fiction in this world, and since this is one of those few rare topics that engages Adam's interest I wanted to throw it out there as an possibility for a group activity, too. |

They have something called Lightbearers which might serve a monky purpose. There's also a bunch of crazy random cults, of which you could certainly be a part if you wished. |

I have this silly work thing to be doing for part of the day... Hm ok.. you said "monky".. hahah. This website is confusing; how do I get info on Lightbearers? Also another MMO would probably do me in. I will consider it though, because at this rate I will be burned out on WoW before the fall semester starts. |

I don't see a link to register for the beta, and when I try to search for more info on it, my company's firewall blocks all the resultant sites. |

I think I can help you out with that! Let's start with basic questions, as I love to do, and then I promise we'll proceed apace. New characters? |

Huzzah, a process! I don't think I have any existing characters that I remember well enough to play, so new is good. I think a fairy tale remix would be too difficult for me at the moment, but otherwise I don't have any preference for the world or genre. You are welcome to pick. |

Yesh, I have a fairy tale thing going elsewhere already, so that would be awfully disconcerting for me. Let's talk options. The Fallen Earth setting is interesting. I miss our Guildsport thingy. We could resurrect that. There's IFCish, i.e., sci-fi stuff; there's plenty of world beyond the confines of the schools we originally set up to explore. Or the great unknown. |

A non-school IFC-esque situation could be interesting - would it be exploration, or political intrigue, or...? I don't remember much of Guildsport so I'm off to re-read it now! I just remember there was a big desert. Hehe. |

There WAS a big desert! And a caravan and slaves and cool port towns and occasional magic. Without the k. We could do political intrigue! I don't know if you remember much beyond the sandbox with Wick and Lucas but we did handle some pretty cool stuff with the Altamiras...I just don't remember where it is. -.- Earth, I suppose. |

The Altamiras do sound familiar - let me read both Guildsport and the Earth stuff from IFC and I will think about it. However, if you have a preference for something in the meantime, we can just jump in! |

I could better answer that question after I have located them. Give me a bit to do so. I'm in the lovely Charlotte airport, replete with rocking chairs and piano playing, but only for the next little bit. Amy and I made the Altamiras up so we could come play at Adam's level of cool, I think. I'm sure there's plenty to do with a secret society type rebellion, yes? Anywho, let me go hunt it down! I'll post in here when I'm done. |

Certainly! There is some of it in Japan, and scattered around Europe. Secret rebellion definitely. What else is it the Wolves do, exactly? I always imagined a sort of cocaine empire. Airports with rocking chairs ... quaint! |

Wow. There was lots there. Ok, I think I've got it all, or most of it. Amy, darling, light of my life... are you reading this? If so, you should please provide input, as Aryn and Ejan were our creations, hm? |

Sorry, sorry, the past few weeks have been fucking awful and I have neglected everything (ie: gym, laundry, husband, IFC) to get work done. But things are settling down a bit more now and I should be able to post often. I can't leave the site open and refresh constantly, but if someone texts or emails me whenever it's my turn, I can get on and update. Gotta love the blackberry. Fallen Earth looks cool, as I always enjoy a good apocalyptic scenario (especially since I just saw the new Terminator and could totally dig the big leather boots and dusty face combo). But you know how I am. I love me some IFC. So let's do Ejan and Aryn and the Wolves and could I resurrect Riya? I've had lots of time to rethink her and she will be more reasonable but still refuses to use contractions. |

I second the texting when it's one's turn thing - hooray for unlimited text plans! Since I never had a long-running (or even canon) character in IFC, how can I squirm my way into the whole Wolves thing? Any ideas on what we will need? I'm thinking a compromised US gov agent - double agent, triple agent, mole, whatever would be fun. Or someone else that is basically not an assassin. I think we have plenty. |

We never really formally structured the Wolves or created an abundance of characters for them, so there is plenty of wiggle room. They are anti-Hegemony and anti-IFC; from what I've gathered by making shit up, it's that they don't like that there is a united governmental body. Funded by some very powerful figures on Earth and with a pretty vast network, they are "fighting the Man" so to speak and have the money to pay off and buy up the sort of political and military powers that they need. Ejan and Aryn's parents were founding members, I believe, and contributed a ton of money to the cause. Riya started working for them because they paid her very well and she could pretty much do what she wanted, rather than follow orders in the military. We've been making up characters as we go along, so make one up too! |

I confirm all prior statements, including (but not limited to) texting when it is someone's turn, plenty of wiggle room, proto-IFCness with the Wolves and such and all that jazz. All stories have to have two sides. I assume our primaries are going to be occupied *mostly* on the Wolves' side, but I would like a face or two on the other side of the conflict as well. That said, I'm going to switch back to the non-FE thread now. <3 See you there. |
